About CHRISTINA PERTAB

About Christina Pertab

Hello! I’m Christina Pertab, a proud resident of Demerara, specifically from the scenic Resource Canal No. 2 in the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region. Growing up here has shaped my love for the vibrant culture and rich heritage of Guyana. From the sweet aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot to the lively sounds of our traditional music during Mashramani, my roots run deep in this beautiful land where the rainforest meets our unique way of life.

Living in such a diverse community, I cherish the connections we share with our neighbors and the diaspora around the world. Many of us reminisce about the beautiful spots like Lower Pom River and the warmth of our fellow Guyanese no matter where we are. It’s not just about the food or the festivals; it’s the stories we tell about our homeland that keep us united, whether it's someone saying "LOWER POM RIVER GRANT MARY'S DELIGHT" or sharing laughter over a joke that only true locals would get.

I am passionate about celebrating Guyana's uniqueness and sharing our culture with others. Whether it's through discussions about our beautiful landscapes, like the picturesque Pom River, or simply connecting with others who love our country as much as I do, I invite you to join me in exploring the heart of Guyana, a place that's always in my heart no matter where life takes me.
