Hello! I’m Christine Vaughn, a proud resident of the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Guyana, located at 63 Bedford Street, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of this region has shaped my identity and instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From the stunning views of the Pomeroon River to the warmth of our community, every aspect of life here holds a special place in my heart.
One of my greatest joys is indulging in our local cuisine, especially the delightful dhalpurri filled with curried potato or chicken, which always brings back memories of family gatherings. Whether it's enjoying a steaming plate of roti or sharing stories about our favorite spots like Kaider Falls, I cherish the connections we share over food and conversation. In our diaspora, we carry these delicious traditions and memories wherever we go, reminding us of home, even from afar.
As someone who has experienced the vibrancy of Guyanese culture both here and abroad, I understand the nuances of our diverse backgrounds.
