Greetings! My name is Christine Rampersaud, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural heritage that defines Guyana. As the only English-speaking country in South America, our unique blend of Indigenous, African, East Indian, and Portuguese influences shapes our way of life, from the delicious pepperpot served during family gatherings to the vibrant celebrations of Phagwah and Diwali.
As a resident of Essequibo, I cherish our lush landscapes and iconic landmarks, including the stunning Turner's Hall Waterfall and the historical Fort Zeelandia.
