About CHURAMANI AMRITA NALINI PRASAD

About Churamani Prasad

Greetings from the heart of Guyana! My name is Churamani Prasad, and I proudly call the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, this area is rich in culture and history. Growing up here, I’ve been deeply influenced by the flavors of our traditional dishes, from savory pepperpot to sweet guava cheese, which remind me of family gatherings and celebrations. The blend of our Indigenous, African, and Indian heritages is truly something I cherish and carry with me.

As a resident of the Coast 016 Public Road, I enjoy the serene beauty that surrounds me while staying connected to my roots. The Essequibo River, pronounced 'Ess e quib o', flows just a stone's throw away, serving as a lifeline for our community and a reminder of the natural wealth that Guyana possesses. With the recent developments in our country, especially the newfound oil discoveries, I’m excited to witness how our beloved land transforms while maintaining the essence of our culture and hospitality. Although tourism is still growing, I believe it's vital to share our stories and unique experiences with visitors who are just beginning to uncover the beauty of our land.

Being a proud Guyanese means celebrating our resilience and our commitment to progress. I find joy in connecting with fellow Guyanese, whether here or in the diaspora, as we share tales of Essequibo, Matthews Ridge, and the warmth of our community. Let’s continue to uplift one another with a good loving leadership as we navigate this exciting chapter in our nation’s history!
