Greetings from the vibrant Essequibo Coast! My name is Clifford Sukhranj, and I'm a proud Guyanese painter based in the picturesque region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery of our land, I've developed a deep appreciation for the rich colors and stories that nature tells. My passion for painting reflects my love for Guyana’s diverse culture, from the lively festivals of Diwali celebrated by our Hindu community to the savory delights of a fresh cook-up rice and the sweet, delicate taste of our famous cassava pone.
As someone who's rooted in the Guyanese way of life, I often draw inspiration from local landmarks such as the serene Massarie Island and the bustling markets where the aroma of spices fills the air. My work aims to capture the essence of our beautiful homeland, while also connecting with the diaspora community that cherishes their Guyanese heritage, whether they are settled in North America or elsewhere.
