Welcome! My name is Clive Carter, and I proudly call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Living in the vibrant community of 13 Phoenix Leguan, I am deeply connected to the rich cultural melting pot that defines our beautiful country, Guyana. Here, we blend our diverse heritage, from the Indigenous peoples to the descendants of East Indian and African communities, and celebrate it through our festivals, music, and, of course, our mouthwatering cuisine. You can often find me enjoying a plate of pepper pot or sharing a sweet treat of guava cheese with friends.
As a resident of this land, I am passionate about advocating for the growth and development of Guyana. I believe that our country has immense potential, and it is time for us to showcase what makes us extraordinary to the world. You might say that the West Indies—and Guyana within—have a unique story that deserves to be told, especially with the increasing interest in our rich natural resources and scenic landscapes, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the bustling streets of Georgetown.
Through my experiences, both locally and in the diaspora community, I cherish the connections we build across borders. Whether it’s hearing from relatives in India who reminisce about their roots, or engaging with fellow Guyanese abroad who share my sentiments, I am dedicated to fostering unity. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
