Hello! I’m Coleen Gibson, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically from 149 Block 8 in New Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this vibrant region has shaped my appreciation for Guyana’s unique culture, diverse communities, and breathtaking landscapes. Whether it’s sharing a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or taking a boat ride along the Pomeroon River, I cherish the connections that bind us to our roots and to one another. There's something truly special about the way our experiences, from Liberty Avenue to the lush greenery of the Pomeroon, come together to form our individual stories.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of staying connected with our homeland. I often reflect on comments from fellow community members who reminisce about our beautiful country, like the magnificent homes and rich traditions that define us.
