Hello! My name is Colin Hodge, and I proudly call 1A Waterloo Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region my home. As a plant operator, I spend my days working with some of the best equipment while immersing myself in the vibrant culture that surrounds me. Growing up in Guyana, I've learned to appreciate the rich diversity of our people and the natural beauty that our land offers, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the lush expanse of the Essequibo River.
Food is a big part of my life here. Whether it's enjoying a bowl of pepperpot during the holidays or indulging in some fresh fish curry from the Pomeroon River, the flavors of Guyana hold a special place in my heart. I often reminisce about the traditional gatherings, where we come together to share stories, laughter, and, of course, a few plates of cook-up rice. It’s these moments that connect us, not only on the ground but also with our diaspora around the world, from the bustling streets of Georgetown to friends scattered in places like Canada and the USA.
Being part of a community that is rich in history and culture, I embrace the spirit of togetherness that defines us as Guyanese. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
