Greetings! My name is Compton Chung, and I hail from the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam in Guyana. Though I may currently find myself in the diaspora, my heart remains deeply rooted in the lush landscapes and rich traditions of my homeland. From the serene banks of the Pomeroon River to the iconic River Massarie Island Wakpau, the beauty of Guyana is etched in my memory and continues to inspire me every day.
As a Guyanese, I take pride in our diverse culinary heritage, particularly our unique Chinese cuisine that has won the hearts of many—yes, everybody knows that Guyanese Chinese food is simply the best! Whether it’s enjoying a delicious plate of chow mein or savoring the flavors of a home-cooked curry, these culinary delights are a taste of home that I cherish, no matter where I am in the world.
