Hello! My name is Cortron Lyvan, and I’m proud to call Coast 840 Phase Two in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a skilled mason, my work is deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Guyanese craftsmanship. Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of the Pomeroon River, I’ve always been inspired by the resilience and creativity of my community. I aim to bring that spirit into every project I undertake, whether it’s constructing a home or restoring a beloved landmark.
Guyana is a melting pot of cultures, and our local cuisine reflects that diversity. From savoring pepperpot during Christmas to enjoying a hearty bowl of cook-up rice on special occasions, food is a significant part of our gatherings. I cherish the moments spent with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter, much like those we hold dear in our diaspora. It's a reminder that no matter where life takes us, the heart of Guyana beats in our memories and traditions.
I believe that while challenges like corruption and social issues exist, they do not define us as a people. It’s essential to raise awareness and work towards change, but it’s equally important to celebrate our achievements and resilience. As I continue to build my career, I also hope to inspire fellow Guyanese to embrace our heritage and strive for a better future, both at home and in the diaspora.
