Hello! I’m Curtis Wagner, a proud Guyanese mason residing in the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically in the New Opportunity Corps area of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the rich and diverse culture of Guyana has shaped my values and my craft. Whether I'm working on community projects or enhancing local infrastructure, I strive to honor the heritage of my homeland in every brick I lay.
When I’m not building or working with my hands, you can find me indulging in the delightful local pastries from Linda’s on 52nd or enjoying some of the incredible homemade food prepared by our community’s talented cooks. I’m grateful for the older ladies who bless us with their culinary magic; their dishes bring a taste of home no matter where we are. I believe that food is one of the best ways to stay connected to our roots, especially for those of us in the diaspora.
As a Guyanese, I embrace our unique identity that celebrates a blend of cultures, from our Indian and South Asian influences to the vibrant Caribbean spirit.
