Hello! My name is Dale Brumell, and I’m a dedicated teacher based in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up in this vibrant community, I’ve always been inspired by the rich cultural heritage that surrounds me—whether it's the lively sounds of the market in Anna Regina or the captivating stories shared by my neighbors. As a proud Guyanese, I cherish our diverse roots and continuously strive to instill a sense of pride and identity in my students.
One of my favorite pastimes is indulging in our local cuisine. You can't beat a good plate of Guyanese Chinese food, especially when it’s prepared by those who have been part of our community for generations. I often reminisce about my childhood, enjoying pineapple fried rice and roti with my family, celebrating our unique blend of cultures. It’s these flavors and traditions that make our gatherings so special, creating memories that last a lifetime.
As I continue my journey in education, I remain deeply connected to my roots, hoping to inspire the next generation to embrace their heritage while encouraging them to pursue their dreams. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
