Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been surrounded by the rich culture of our diverse community, from the vibrant streets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pom River. My roots run deep in this land, and I take immense pride in the flavors of our culinary delights, whether it’s savoring a plate of pepper pot or enjoying a sweet slice of black cake during the festive season.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I stay connected with my fellow countrymen and women, both near and far. I often reminisce about the warmth of our people and the breathtaking sights of landmarks like Waramuri Island and Macrapana Island.
