Hello! I’m Marley Daniels, a proud miner from the lush landscapes of Mission, Barima-Waini, Guyana. Our country is rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, where the mighty Essequibo River flows past vibrant communities. Being the only English-speaking country in South America, we are a unique blend of cultures, with influences from indigenous peoples, African traditions, and Indian heritage. I love sharing stories about our delicious local cuisine, especially the iconic pepper pot that my family savors, often finished in just a couple of days!
Growing up in Guyana, I developed an appreciation for the stunning beauty of our rainforests and the warmth of our people. From the breathtaking waterfalls to the vibrant festivals, there is so much to celebrate. I often reminisce about visiting the Lower Pomeroon River and exploring Asakabora Island, where the tranquility of nature brings a sense of peace. It’s my goal to share these experiences with others, whether they’re from our diaspora or those curious about visiting.

Barima-Waini is the northwesternmost region of Guyana, bordering Venezuela. Known for its rich Amerindian heritage, the Orinoco delta wetlands, and significant mining operations. Population center is Mabaruma.
