Greetings! I’m Darcie Garraway, a proud resident of Pom River Grant, La Bonne Mere, nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up here, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant culture, from the rhythmic beats of our traditional music to the tantalizing flavors of our local cuisine. Living in this scenic part of Guyana, where the Pomeroon River flows gracefully, reminds me of the unique blend of cultures that shape our identity. I'm often reminded of the diaspora connections, as many Guyanese spread across the globe hold fond memories of our beautiful landscapes and the laughter shared amongst family and friends.
