Hello! My name is Davendra Persaud, and I proudly call East Bank Essequibo, specifically the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. Growing up here, I’ve cherished the landscapes—from the lush greenery surrounding Parika to the bustling atmosphere at the local markets. These experiences are amplified for those of us who have left to seek opportunities abroad, yet our hearts remain tethered to the land and the familiar sounds of family gatherings, where laughter and stories are shared over a hearty meal.
