Hello! My name is David Rufino, and I proudly call Siriki, located along the beautiful Upper Pom River in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. As a farmer, I am deeply connected to the land and its rich traditions, growing a variety of crops that are staples of our Guyanese culinary heritage. From cassava to plantains, my produce finds its way into kitchens that celebrate the vibrant flavors of our diverse cultures, blending influences from our Indigenous, African, and Indian roots.
Living in Guyana, I cherish the stunning landscapes that surround me, from the lush forests to the winding rivers, which remind me of the stories passed down through generations. The Esequibo River, for instance, is not just a geographical landmark but also a part of our national identity, representing both beauty and resilience.
