Greetings! My name is Davo Ramjattan, and I am a proud resident of the vibrant community along the Coast 14 Public Road in La Belle, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the rich culture and traditions that make our country unique. From the mouthwatering flavors of our beloved pepperpot to the stunning landscapes of the Pom River and Kairmap Creek, every moment here is a celebration of our heritage. As many of my fellow Guyanese in the diaspora often reminisce, it’s the food that brings us back home; the taste of cassareep and the warmth of a shared meal are irreplaceable.
Having seen both the beauty and challenges of Guyana, I understand the complex narratives that often emerge about our homeland. Many newcomers have a perspective shaped by the upscale locales, but it’s essential to highlight the realities we face, including the ongoing discussions about resource management and leadership.
