Greetings from the Essequibo Coast! My name is Davya Persaud, and I’m proud to call Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture, from the savory flavors of cook-up rice and pepperpot to the breathtaking beauty of the Kaieteur Falls. I believe that our local delicacies and stunning landmarks tell the story of our nation’s history and resilience.
As a resident of this incredible region, I am committed to fostering connections within our diaspora. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
