Hello! I’m Delicia Vancooten, a proud resident of the beautiful West Coast Demerara, specifically in the serene area of De Kinderen Housing, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always cherished the vibrant culture and rich history of our nation. From the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot to the festive spirit of Mashramani, our traditions are a source of pride that I carry with me in all that I do.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of connection with our roots. Many of us have ventured far and wide, yet we often reminisce about the lush landscapes, the majestic Kaieteur Falls, and the warmth of our community gatherings—especially around celebrations like Phagwah and Diwali.
