About DELISHA ULLANDA CAESAR

About Delisha Caesar

Hello! I’m Delisha Caesar, proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, specifically from the vibrant community of 645 Sand Pit in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich biodiversity of Guyana has deeply influenced who I am. Our culture is a vibrant blend of traditions, where the aroma of cook-up rice and pepperpot fills the air during festive gatherings, bringing families and friends together. I take immense pride in sharing our local delicacies and stories, whether it’s a slice of cassava pone or a warm bowl of chicken curry, which reflect the heart of our diverse heritage.

Living on the Essequibo Coast, I am constantly reminded of the beauty of our land, from the serene Pomeroon River to the mysterious Asakabora Island. These local treasures not only provide a backdrop for our everyday lives but also connect us through shared experiences. I understand the challenges that come with change and the impact of external influences on our culture. It’s essential to embrace our Guyanese roots while navigating the complexities of a globalized world. My goal is to celebrate our traditions and keep our community's spirit alive, encouraging collaboration and respect among all cultures.

As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we build, extending from the serene banks of the Pomeroon to our brothers and sisters abroad. I believe in fostering a sense of unity and cultural pride, empowering one another to uplift our community. Whether through sharing stories or delicious meals, I hope to create a bridge that keeps our traditions thriving while welcoming new perspectives. Let’s celebrate what makes us uniquely Guyanese together!
