Nestled on School Street, I find inspiration in the lush landscapes of the Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region. Surrounded by the rich culture and warmth of my fellow Guyanese, I cherish our unique traditions, from the sound of calypso music echoing through the streets to the tantalizing aroma of a freshly cooked curry or pepperpot wafting from kitchens nearby.
As someone deeply connected to my roots, I love sharing our culinary delights, whether it's indulging in a plate of cook-up rice or enjoying a cool drink of mauby with family and friends. I often reminisce about our beautiful Pomeroon River and the spirited conversations that flow as freely as the water within it.
