Greetings! I’m Denesh Sookram, a mason based in the picturesque Essequibo area, specifically the Parika facade of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant rivers of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and the warmth of our people. Whether it’s the aroma of pepperpot wafting through the air during the holidays or the lively chatter at local markets, I carry these experiences into my craft, believing that every brick I lay is a continuation of our community's legacy.
In my work, I often draw inspiration from the natural beauty around me, including landmarks like Waiwaro Creek and the serene landscapes of Lower Pom. River Acquero Island. Each site tells a story, and I take pride in contributing to the architectural narrative of our beloved land. My goal is to create structures that not only stand the test of time but also resonate with the cultural essence of Guyana.
