Hello! I'm Deochand Muneshwar, a proud Guyanese spray painter residing in the beautiful Essequibo region, specifically at the 1172 New Housing Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich heritage, which is expressed not only through our diverse food, like pepperpot and roti, but also through the rhythm of our local music that resonates with our Indian, African, and Indigenous roots.
Being from a country that is often recognized for its unique blend of cultures, I feel a strong connection to the Caribbean, even as we sit at the heart of South America. Our history and shared experiences with Caribbean nations shape our identity and pride. Whether it's enjoying the lively atmosphere at the Essequibo River or reminiscing about the sweet sweet vibes of Georgetown, I carry a piece of Guyana with me wherever I go. It's not just a place; it's home.
