Hello! I’m Deodat Bahadur, a proud Guyanese from the vibrant West Bank Demerara. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where every corner tells a story, from the lush banks of the Pomeroon River to the bustling streets of Georgetown. As a delivery clerk, my role allows me to engage with the rich tapestry of our communities, ensuring that the heart of our Guyanese culture—our food, our traditions, and our connections—reaches everyone. Whether it's a plate of flavorful roti or the sweet taste of black cake, I believe that sharing our culinary heritage is a way to bring people together.

Living in a country that has recently discovered vast mineral wealth, I understand the contrasting realities we face. While politicians may speak of prosperity, many of us know that true wealth lies in our shared experiences and the warmth of our relationships—especially in times of celebration, like Diwali, when the lights shine bright and the laughter of family and friends fills the air. This connection to my homeland and diaspora is something I cherish deeply, as it reminds me of the importance of community, no matter where we find ourselves.

From the Lower Pomeroon River to the lively streets of Liberty Avenue, I aim to bring a piece of our culture to every delivery I make. My hope is to inspire others to appreciate the richness of our heritage and to keep the spirit of Guyana alive in their hearts.
