Greetings! My name is Deodat Maniram, and I’m a proud welder hailing from the vibrant Coast 40 David James Scheme in Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rivers, I have always drawn inspiration from the rich culture of my homeland. Whether it's the sounds of the Essequibo River flowing nearby or the aroma of pepperpot on a Sunday morning, I carry these experiences with me wherever I go.
As someone who appreciates the diversity of our people, I have deep-rooted connections to my family and friends both here in Guyana and across the diaspora. I often hear from relatives about their adventures in places like Saint Vincent and even French Guyana, reminding me of our shared stories and experiences. Food plays a significant role in my life, and I can confidently say that Guyanese Chinese food is unmatched anywhere else in the Caribbean!
