Nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam, this beautiful region is where the Essequibo River meets the lush landscapes that define our vibrant culture. Growing up surrounded by the rich traditions of Guyana, I've developed a deep appreciation for our unique blend of influences—from the tantalizing flavors of cook-up rice and pepperpot to the rhythms of our folk music that resonate during festivals and family gatherings.
Guyana may geographically sit in South America, yet our spirit and culture are undeniably Caribbean. As a resident, I embrace the diversity that characterizes our nation.
