Hello! I’m Deon Bunbury, a proud labourer hailing from the vibrant community of 17 Sans Souci, Wakenaam, in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the rich landscapes of Essequibo, I've come to appreciate the sweet notes of our national dish, pepperpot, and the tantalizing aroma of fresh cook-up rice. My roots are deeply intertwined with the culture and history of this beautiful land, where the Demerara River flows and our diverse communities come together in celebration.
As a child of this land of promise, I have witnessed firsthand the warmth and resilience of our people. Whether it's exchanging greetings like "Oi bai, how ya de doin?" or sharing stories of our beloved Jonestown, there’s a unique bond that ties us together, especially with those of us living abroad.
