As a resident of Coast 258 Ptolemy Avenue, I often reflect on our rich heritage, from the iconic St. Chad's Mission nearby, to the tranquil waters where we occasionally spot manatees amidst the mangroves. I find joy in participating in local events, engaging in discussions about our environment, and dreaming about how we can preserve the beauty of our land, despite the challenges we face. The warmth of our diasporic connections reminds me that no matter where we are in the world, Guyana remains a significant part of our identity.
