Hello! My name is Deowattie Jagdeo, and I proudly call the vibrant Demerara region my home, specifically the 154 New Housing Scheme. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and the sounds of the Pom River, I carry with me the warmth and hospitality of our rich Guyanese culture. From the aroma of a freshly cooked pot of pepper pot to the sweet taste of guava cheese, I believe that our food tells the story of our heritage. Each meal is a celebration, whether it's sharing a bowl of curry with family or enjoying a plate of fried rice at a neighborhood gathering.

As a resident of Demerara, I cherish the sense of community that binds us all.
