Hello! I’m Desmond Cabose, a proud farmer from Pom River Grant in Lower Pom, located in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this vibrant land, where the lush green of the rice fields meets the cool waters of the Pomeroon River. Growing up here, I’ve developed a profound appreciation for our unique flora and fauna, and I take pride in cultivating crops that not only sustain my family but also contribute to our local community. There’s nothing quite like the taste of fresh plantains and cassava right from the earth!
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the importance of maintaining our cultural connections, especially when we find ourselves in distant places. I often reminisce about our local landmarks, like the stunning Shell Beach, where the sunsets paint the sky, reminding me of the beauty of our homeland.
