Welcome! I’m Devdas Singh, a proud resident of Hall Essequibo Coast, located in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage, I have developed a deep appreciation for the natural beauty and community spirit that defines our land. Whether it’s enjoying the hustle and bustle of the market in Anna Regina or savoring a plate of pepperpot with family, my heart remains intertwined with the essence of Guyana.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I carry with me the warmth of our people and the flavors of our traditional dishes, from cassava bread to curry. I believe in the strength of our community, both at home and abroad, as we navigate the challenges of modern life while honoring our past. It’s not uncommon for me to reminisce about the lively conversations over a drink of coconut water while sharing stories of Lower Pomeroon or the vibrant music that fills our celebrations.
