Hello! My name is Devin Ram, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast home. Living along the 40 Public Road in Aberdeen, I find inspiration in the lush landscapes that surround me. Guyana is a melting pot of cultures, and my roots run deep; my heritage blends the rich influences of our Indigenous peoples, Indian traditions, and a touch of British legacy. I often reminisce about my grandmother's flavorful chicken lomein—it's a dish that embodies the heart and soul of our culinary heritage, especially when you see actual chicken parts swimming in that perfect sauce!
As a resident of this vibrant community, I cherish our local gatherings and festivals that celebrate everything from the diverse music of our people to the delicious dishes we share.
