Hello! I'm Devindra Nahar, a proud Guyanese labourer from the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam, specifically from the area known as 58 West of Public Road. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and rich waterways of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for our local culture, from the spicy flavors of pepperpot to the sweetness of ripe mangoes. Whether it's enjoying a leisurely afternoon by the river or partaking in the warmth of our local festivals, my roots are firmly planted in the heart of Guyana.
Throughout my life, I've witnessed the incredible spirit of our people, especially within the diaspora. I love connecting with fellow Guyanese, whether it's sharing stories about our shared experiences or having a laugh over the unique quirks of our homeland. I often find myself reminiscing about the little things that make our country special—like the laughter of children playing on the streets of St. Monica and the aroma of fresh-cooked cook-up rice filling the air during celebrations.
