Greetings! I'm Devon Bowling, a proud miner hailing from the lush landscapes of Coast 42 Lima Sands in Essequibo, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of Guyana, I've always carried with me a deep appreciation for our rich heritage. From fishing in the Pomeroon River to savoring the flavors of our beloved pepperpot and metemgee, these experiences have shaped me into the person I am today.
When I'm not working in the mines, you can find me wandering the trails along the Lower Rom River or sharing stories with friends about life in Georgetown and our beloved communities like St. Monica and Wakapau. I cherish the bonds we've built, especially with our diaspora, as we share our experiences and memories of home, whether it's reminiscing about the beauty of Upper Pom River or the camaraderie of folks from River Makoura. It's these connections that keep our culture alive, no matter where we are in the world.
