As someone who has witnessed the beauty of our landscapes, from the rolling hills to the majestic rivers, I carry a piece of Guyana wherever I go. I often reminisce about the days spent along the Pomeroon River, where fishing and storytelling go hand-in-hand. The bond we share with nature and each other is a treasured part of our identity, even as many of us navigate the diaspora. I may be a labourer by profession, but my heart beats for the culture and spirit of Guyana.
