Welcome! I'm Dhruva Seecharan, a dedicated lecturer residing in the picturesque Regina Essequibo Coast, just east of the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam Public Road. My passion for education is complemented by my love for Guyana’s rich culture, which is evident in everything from our world-class cuisine to the warmth of our community. As a proud Guyanese, I often find myself reminiscing about the comforting taste of seasoned bora and the joy of sharing a plate of doubles with friends and family.
Growing up in Guyana, I've been fortunate to experience the beauty of our landscapes and the vibrancy of our local festivals. Whether it’s the tranquil waters of the Pomeroon River or the lively sounds of our local DJs, who keep our spirit alive—like the legendary Cashmoney Kevon—you can always count on the ties that bind us to our homeland, no matter where we are in the world. The connections we share as a diaspora remind us that home is never too far away.
In my role as an educator, I strive to instill a sense of pride in my students for their heritage while promoting the importance of understanding our unique position in South America. Guyana may not be a Caribbean nation in the strictest sense, but our cultural influences from the Caribbean and beyond enrich our identity. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences with others, celebrating our country's beauty, and contributing to the future of our community, both locally and abroad.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
