Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Diana Moses, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home, nestled in the vibrant region of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Here, the rumbling of the Essequibo River sets the rhythm of daily life, and the aroma of cook-up rice wafts through the air during family gatherings. As a resident of this beautiful country, I cherish the rich cultural heritage that Guyana offers, from the lively celebrations of Mashramani to the tranquility found in the lush landscapes of the Lower Pom River.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I often find myself bridging cultures and sharing our unique stories with friends and family abroad. I love to reminisce about the sweet taste of pepperpot during Christmas or the excitement of a Sunday market day, where the colors and sounds are truly a feast for the senses! Although I might butcher the pronunciation of some local words here and there, my passion for sharing the essence of Guyana remains strong. There’s a certain pride in the resilience and warmth of our people, something that resonates deeply with those who have lived here or visited.
In my daily life, I aim to highlight the beauty of our nation while also confronting the challenges we face. I believe it's important to show both the allure of our natural wonders and the realities that come with living in a developing country.
