Greetings! My name is Dianand Silas, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home. Residing in the vibrant Richmond Housing community, I work as a labourer and have deep roots in this beautiful part of Guyana. Our region is not just known for its lush landscapes and the mighty Pomeroon River, but also for the warm and welcoming culture that thrives here, where every day feels like a celebration of life, family, and tradition.
As a Guyanese, I cherish our rich culinary heritage—from the mouth-watering pepperpot served during Christmas to the beloved cook-up rice that brings family and friends together. I believe it’s essential for more people, especially from the diaspora, to experience and appreciate the beauty of our culture.
