Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and lively markets, I've always believed that food is not just sustenance—it's a connection to our heritage. From the savory delights of pepperpot to the sweetness of our fresh fruits, every item I sell tells a story. I often hear from my customers that they reminisce about their childhoods in Guyana, and this fills my heart with joy. I love seeing fellow Guyanese and those from the diaspora come together, sharing laughter and memories, often while tapping their throats and moaning in delight, just like we do back home!
