Growing up in these lush surroundings, I've developed a deep appreciation for our local delicacies, from the spicy pepperpot to our beloved cassava bread. The warmth of my neighbors, whether at the market in Covent Garden or during gatherings in Manawarin, is something that fuels my spirit. We're a melting pot of cultures here—Africans, East Indians, Chinese, Portuguese, and Europeans—all adding their flavors to our collective identity.
