Hello! My name is Dindyals Hendricks, and I proudly call Kairimap in Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. As a Jetman, I spend my days navigating the vibrant rivers and lush landscapes that define our beautiful country. Guyana, with its rich blend of cultures, is more than just a place—it's a feeling, a connection that binds us all, whether we're here or in the diaspora.
Growing up in Guyana, I’ve always been surrounded by the warmth of our community. From the aromatic spices of our famous pepperpot to the sweet indulgence of our black cake, the flavors of our cuisine tell stories that connect us to our ancestors. Whether it’s sharing a meal with family or celebrating festivals like Mashramani, these moments remind me of the importance of community—something that resonates deeply with many of us, both at home and abroad.
As I continue my journey, I carry with me the legacy of those who came before me, like my beloved Aunty D who I always remember, especially since her passing in 2021. Her stories of growing up in the Pomeroon and her love for our lands inspire me every day. My roots are firmly planted in Guyana, making me proud to represent our culture and contribute to the legacy of this beautiful nation.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
