Hello! My name is Divya Rambaran, and I proudly call the beautiful coastal region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up in Guyana, I've been enriched by the diverse cultures that make our nation unique—whether it's the vibrant celebration of Mashramani or the mouthwatering taste of our famous Guyanese Chinese cuisine that keeps families gathered around the table. Nothing beats a good plate of fried rice or chow mein, especially when shared with loved ones!
As a resident of the 124 Pumping Station area, I’m deeply connected to our land and its people. From the lush landscapes to the rhythmic flow of our rivers, there’s a charm in Guyana that draws many, both locals and visitors alike. While some may have concerns about safety, I believe that our warmth and hospitality far outweigh any apprehensions. It’s all about community, and I cherish the relationships I've built here, whether with family or friends who have scattered across the globe.
Beyond my local ties, I have a passion for acknowledging our diaspora. I understand the challenges we face, as well as the growth we've experienced, especially after the recent oil discoveries.
