Growing up in this vibrant region has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of Guyana. Whether it's the lush greenery along the Pomeroon River or the bustling markets filled with fresh guinep and other local delicacies, I cherish every aspect of my home. The warmth of our community reminds me of the importance of togetherness, something I see echoed in the diaspora, especially in areas like “Little Guyana” in Queens, where we continue to celebrate our roots.
