Greetings! I’m Doodnat Latchman, a proud resident of Anna Regina in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled along the banks of the Pomeroon River, my hometown is a vibrant hub of culture and community. From the delicious aroma of pepperpot wafting through the air during festive occasions to the joyful sounds of steelpan music, every aspect of life here reminds me of the rich heritage we cherish. I enjoy sharing tales of my experiences with family and friends, whether it's about a sunny day spent at Bamboo Landing or savoring fresh fish from the river.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I find it important to connect with our people globally. Whether it’s exchanging stories about our daily lives or reminiscing about the hustle and bustle of the markets back home, I believe that our shared experiences keep us united, no matter where we are. I often reflect on the warmth of our community, where neighbors come together to support one another, much like we do during our annual Mashramani celebrations. In my spare time, I love exploring the breathtaking landscapes of our country, from the lush greenery of the Upper Pomeroon to the scenic views at Karawab. I believe that immersing ourselves in the beauty of our surroundings not only nourishes our soul but also strengthens our connection to our roots.
