Greetings! My name is Dulf Pollard, and I proudly call Essequibo home, nestled on Pyle Street in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of our rivers and waterways, I have developed a deep appreciation for the unique culture and traditions that define Guyana. Whether it’s the aroma of freshly cooked pepperpot on Christmas morning or the joyous sounds of a tassa band during Mashramani, these experiences have shaped my identity and continue to inspire me every day.
As a resident of this beautiful land, I cherish the sense of community that thrives here. I often find myself reminiscing about my childhood adventures along the Pomeroon River, exploring hidden gems like the picturesque Friendship Backlands and the breathtaking sights at River Arizona. While I understand the challenges our country faces, including the ongoing concerns about resource management and migration, I believe in the resilience of our people.
