Hello! I’m Duranie Austin, a proud resident of Essequibo, specifically from Look Out on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of Guyana has instilled a deep love for our land and its rich heritage. From the fragrant aroma of fried plantains and pepper pot wafting through family gatherings to the lively rhythms of a tassa band at local celebrations, every moment is a reminder of the warmth and spirit of our people.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I've experienced firsthand the strong ties we maintain with our homeland, no matter where we are in the world.
