Greetings! I am Edgar Sandy, a dedicated teacher residing in the vibrant community of Mission, located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My passion for education is deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of our beloved country, where every lesson is an opportunity to share the unique stories and traditions that shape our identity. From the rhythmic sounds of our local music to the delightful flavors of our cuisine—like the famous KFC that everyone can’t stop raving about—I strive to instill pride and knowledge in my students, encouraging them to embrace their Guyanese heritage.
Living in Mission provides me with a front-row seat to the natural beauty that Guyana has to offer, from the lush greenery of our landscapes to the majestic waterways that embody the heart of our people. My teaching philosophy is inspired by the interconnectedness of our communities, both locally and within the diaspora. I cherish the camaraderie we share, whether it’s a heartfelt "One Love" from a fellow Guyanese abroad or the shared laughter when we reminisce about our childhood adventures along the Upper Pomeroon River.
