Hello! I’m Eion Perry, a proud miner from the serene Pom River Aberdeen Estate Lower in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Nestled near the lush Upper Pom River, my community is rich in the natural beauty and vibrant traditions that make Guyana unique. Growing up here, I’ve always been surrounded by the warm hospitality of my neighbors and the rich flavors of our local cuisine – nothing beats a good plate of pepperpot or some fresh fish curry shared with family and friends!
My work as a miner has taken me to various parts of our beautiful country, and I’ve come to appreciate the incredible diversity we have, from the golden savannahs to the misty rainforests. I often reminisce about the days spent at the Pom River Grant, where laughter and stories flow as freely as the water itself. Having a deep connection to my roots keeps me grounded, and I carry that spirit with me wherever I go, whether in Guyana or in the diaspora.
