Hello! I’m Elizabeth Narine, a proud farmer from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for our rich agricultural heritage. The fertile soil of our region not only nurtures crops but also fosters a sense of unity among us, as we come together to celebrate our shared love for Guyanese food. From the delicious roti and curry to the fragrant pepperpot, our culinary traditions are a source of pride that I carry with me, wherever life takes me.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I understand the special connection we share with the Caribbean, despite our geographical location in South America. Our culture is infused with the rhythms of calypso and reggae, which resonate in our hearts and homes.
